golf course


Living in the Southwest is perfect if one likes to play the game of golf. The golf course is open all year around. In the summer months an early morning game is in order to avoid the heat of the day. The winter months bring the best time of year on the golf course. The cooler weather is absolutely perfect for a mid-day round of golf.

I have found that life on the golf course revolves around the game and food. In summer we play a round of golf and then go to the restaurant and order up a hearty breakfast. By then the day is heating up and it is time to spend the rest of it indoors. In the winter season we start with breakfast until the chill and frost leaves the golf course. Once the sun has risen and the warmth can be felt the game is on!

The golf course where we live is maintained beautifully. The greens are kept up nicely all year around. The golf course itself is a challenge to play and builds camaraderie amongst the players, most of which live in the mobile home park. We do other things than just play golf but it is the main focus in this retirement community. Life on the golf course is good!
