camping hiking gear


Camping hiking gear needs can change with the seasons. In summer a tent will do for accommodations however when the winter snow begins to fly I like to be a little more enclosed. That is where the toy hauler comes into play. My family likes to ride quads no matter the weather so we always bring along the bikes no matter the season!

We also like to hike. So our camping hiking gear will include a good pair of boots and socks for everyone. I include extra socks for those creeks we all seem to fall into when hiking. The seasonal changes in our hiking gear will be reflected with the amount of layers we wear. In the cooler seasons the sweatshirts, flannels and long johns come out and as the day warms we remove layers. 

Camping hiking gear is essential in our household. Even when we are not out of town enjoying the beauty of nature we all wear some of our hiking clothes and boots. Especially in the cooler winter months. It is good to know my family is getting all the use possible out of their seasonal camping hiking gear!
