Learning To Go Mountain Biking |

Two of my friends at work are mountain biking fanatics. On Fridays, they always brings their bikes to work so thay can go mountain biking afterwards. Recently, they've been trying to teach me so that I can go with them on their mountain biking trips. So far, it's been quite the experience! First of all, I haven't ridden any kind of bike in about fifteen years or so. It's true what they say though, you don't forget how to do it. Nevertheless, getting on a bike after all those years was a bit daunting. Once I mastered that, the next step was (and still is!) learning how to negotiate those mountain trails. I love hiking, so most of the trails we've taken have been somewhat familiar to me. However, it's much different to go whizzing down them at about five or ten times the speed of hiking. My friends have been very patient with teaching me, and that definitely helps. Although it's been something of a challenge, I really think that, eventually, I'll love to go mountain biking. I always enjoy being out in nature, and I must admit that the speed of mountain biking is quite exhilarating. I'll figure it out yet! |
