golf course

Last week-end I went to a putt-putt golf course with my friends for a few laughs. I haven’t been to an amusement golf course in a long time, but I used to be good at it. I have been to the driving range several times now because I do want to get into the real game of golf. Down here in the southwest, there is a golf course everywhere you turn, so when my sons come down here to visit, I would like to play with them eventually too. So with this strategy in mind, I thought I would be decent at mini golf like in the old days. Let’s just say, I was having a terrible time getting most of the golf balls into the holes. Between the swinging pendulum, the downward slopes, the wrong pathways and the watering holes, I just should have called it a night. I persisted onward, though, laughing at how bad I was and listening to my friends comments. Thank goodness, on the real golf courses, there are no castles and spiral pathways to worry about.
